Bench made from laminate worktop. The coating of a chipboard/worktop is similar to the texture mapping process used in 3D computer graphics. This method is used to add two-dimensional images - known as textures - and surface properties to the surfaces of three-dimensional surface models. Textures make computer-generated images appear more detailed and realistic without having to refine the underlying model itself. This is how surfaces and materials are simulated in video games, for example.
